FAQs on hiring process

We’re always looking for new, talented individuals to join our team permanently. If you enjoy your seasonal role and want to continue your journey with us, we encourage you to apply for any suitable permanent opportunities that become available.

This depends on the role and location you apply for - each advert will include specific shift details available. Our operation runs 24/7, so we offer a variety of shifts, from part-time to full-time hours. Flexibility is important to us, so you may be asked to work different times and days within your chosen shift pattern. Exact schedules will be confirmed at your specific site.

Most of our seasonal roles are based at our Plants, Mail Centres and Parcel Hubs. No matter your role, you'll be a valued member of the Royal Mail team playing a vital role in helping us deliver more festive cheer this Christmas.

Once you accept your job offer, you'll get exclusive access to our Welcome Hub - your go-to guide for everything you need to know before your first day. It's packed with helpful information to make sure you feel confident and prepared.

On your first day, you'll receive an ID badge and a high-visibility vest (if required), so you're ready to get stuck in.

This year Angard are exclusively managing the recruitment of our Seasonal Mail Sorters in Northern Ireland. Please click this link to apply.

It's great that you're looking to do some extra work for us but please do not complete a Seasonal Worker application.
Instead, if you work for Angard, please make sure you have added your up-to-date availability on JoinedUp so Angard know when they can allocate you to any available shifts.

Great news you've applied! As your application progresses, your 'Status' will be updated. You'll receive key updates via email with instructions on the next step and any actions you need to take. Please check your email inbox regularly for these updates.
